As a social worker over the past 16 years within Southern Indiana, I first encountered end of life care while working at a hospital and quickly realized the socioeconomic barriers which stand in the way of individuals who need care at end of life. It was during this time I fell in love with end of life care and started my career with a local end of life care agency. Since my time there, I became familiar with a comfort care home in Louisville for individuals with socioeconomic barriers facing end of life. Due to their location and bed limitations, they must often prioritize Louisville patients. This prompted me to bring an end of life home to Southern Indiana. 

The mission of House of Hesed is inspired by the unconditional love of God. House of Hesed will be a home for individuals facing socioeconomic barriers to come and be cared for during end of life. Come as you are and rest in House of Hesed.
